Vision

 

The purpose of the band program to advance music education by encouraging the study and making of quality music by all.

 

 The Westover High School Band Program will have the highest quality of character, achievement in academics, demonstrate outstanding leadership, perfection in musicianship, and dedication to Westover Band program.   

 

 

 

Membership

 

 

All members of Westover High School Band Program are representatives of their family, school, and band.  You are expected to live up to the vision of the Band Program at all times.  The Director of Bands reserves the right to dismiss any student from the Band Program for inappropriate behavior.  Any incident resulting in this consequence will be documented for referral to administration.

 

 

 

Expectations

 

 

We expect the following from all Band Students:

 

 

 

1.  Maintain passing grades in all classes.

 

 

2.  Attend all rehearsals and performances and contact the director prior to an absence.

 

 

3. Enroll in band class for the fall and spring semester (musicians).

 

 

4.  Practice your instrument and all routines at home everyday.

 

 

5.  Follow instructions of Band Staff, Band Chaperones, and Student Leaders.
